Junior Technology Consultant - Full Time

Position Overview

Protelo, Inc. is a software consulting company building solutions to help business work more efficiently – customizing Oracle’s NetSuite software to best suite clients’ needs. Some common examples are automating invoicing to customers, building sophisticated inventory management systems, and custom web pages to perform advanced analytics.Protelo is committed to putting the needs of customers above all else. ROLE: To work with Protelo and its customers to help resolve issues and refine or improve existing processes through software customization.

• Provide assistance and support to existing clients, internal staff, and other individuals or groups as needed.
• Effectively communicate with other individuals or groups both written and verbally.
• Solve issues by utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills and working with other team members.
• Design functional/technical solutions, architect and develop programs, unit test programs, and install deliverables.
• Interact with clients to understand their business needs, requirements, and provide estimates for work upon request.
• Complete assigned tasks and report back as delegated.
• Determine and attend the meeting in which the most value can be added.
• Ensure time entries are input on the same day the work is completed to ensure you stay below the late time entry tolerance.
• Alert the project manager at the first point of discovery that the work effort assigned is likely to exceed the estimated time allocated.
• Learn new technologies and other skills under limited assistance or no assistance.
• Carry out directions from management and comply with internal guidelines & procedures.
• Travel may be required.

• Solid understanding of development standards and agile methodology.
• Familiarity with version control software, specifically git.
• High-energy, self-motivated, strong desire to learn, can-do attitude, high attention to detail, and problem-solver.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Good business acumen and knowledge of best practices.
• Ability to work with resources in a diverse, dynamic environment.
• Comfortable working directly with clients.

NOTE: Travel may be required – Although we take full advantage of technology and commonly use virtual meetings, face-to-face interaction helps us build relationships, which requires occasional travel. We’re in the cloud so virtual meetings are common.
